QR Code Generator

Make a static QR code locally, add a logo or brand colors, and download a clean SVG or PNG — no account, watermark, or service expiry.

  • Runs in your browser — files never leave your device

The text, Wi-Fi password, and logo stay on this device. Only your settings are saved in this browser.

QR code preview

This is a static code: it has no scan limit or expiry, but its content cannot be changed after printing.

How to use

  1. Choose Website, Text, or Wi-Fi, then enter the information to encode.
  2. For a Wi-Fi code, enter the network name, security type, and password; reserved characters are escaped automatically.
  3. Keep M correction for normal clean use, or add a logo to use H correction automatically. Use a dark code color on a light background.
  4. Check the live preview, then download SVG for scalable print or PNG for a bitmap image.
  5. Scan the final exported code with a phone before you print or publish it.

Static QR codes do not expire, but their content is fixed

This tool writes your URL, text, or Wi-Fi information directly into the QR pattern. It does not create a short link or route scans through a Betterbit server, so there is no scan limit or service expiry. The trade-off is important: once a printed code is distributed, its encoded content cannot be edited. If a website address may change, encode a URL that you control and can redirect yourself.

Choose correction for the physical conditions

QR error correction trades capacity for damage tolerance. DENSO WAVE lists approximate recovery levels of 7% for L, 15% for M, 25% for Q, and 30% for H. M is a good default for a clean screen or print. This generator switches to H when you add a logo, keeps a four-module quiet zone around every code, and limits the logo plate to 22% of the QR width. Brand colors work best with a dark pattern on a light, high-contrast background. Still test the final image on a real phone before printing.

SVG stays sharp; PNG is ready to place

SVG is a vector image, so it can be enlarged in a document or design app without adding blur. The PNG download is rendered at 1,024 × 1,024 pixels for slides and ordinary print layouts. QR Code Model 2 uses 40 versions, from 21 × 21 to 177 × 177 modules before the quiet zone; longer content makes a denser code that is harder to scan at a small physical size. Keep URLs short and avoid shrinking dense codes.

Frequently asked questions

Do QR codes made here expire?

No. This generator makes a static QR code whose information is embedded in the pattern itself, so Betterbit does not need to host it and cannot deactivate it. The destination website can still stop working if its owner removes or changes it.

Is my Wi-Fi password or logo uploaded?

No. The QR payload, Wi-Fi password, and selected logo are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server. The logo remains only in the current browser tab; the text settings can be saved in this browser so a refresh does not discard them.

Which QR error-correction level should I use?

Use M for a clean, ordinary QR code. Use H for a logo or a code likely to be scuffed; it has about 30% recovery capacity versus about 15% for M, but it makes the pattern denser and reduces the amount of text that fits.

Should I download SVG or PNG?

Download SVG when the code might be enlarged for print because it is a scalable vector file. Download the 1,024 × 1,024 PNG for software that needs a regular image file, such as a slide or social post.

Can a QR code connect someone to Wi-Fi?

Yes. Enter the Wi-Fi SSID, security type, and password to create the standard WIFI: payload. A compatible phone can offer to join after scanning, but people should still confirm the network name before connecting.
