How to use

- Pick the page to sign — it starts on the last page, where signatures usually go.
- Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen, or switch to Type and enter your name.
- Drag the dashed box to position the signature, or focus it and nudge it with the arrow keys.
- Pick a size — Small, Medium, or Large — then click "Download signed PDF".
How this stays private
Every step — reading the PDF, rendering the page preview, and drawing the signature onto it — runs in your browser using pdf-lib and pdf.js. No file is ever uploaded, so there is no server copy, no account, and no "auto-deleted after one hour" window to worry about. Close the tab and nothing remains anywhere but your own download. The tool also works offline once the page has loaded, since there is no server round trip to wait on.
Drawn vs. typed signatures
A drawn signature traces your actual pointer or finger movement, so it looks closest to pen-and-paper handwriting — most people get a better result with a trackpad, stylus, or touchscreen than a mouse. A typed signature renders your name in a script-style font instantly, which is faster when you just need a readable name on the page rather than a true handwritten mark. Both are saved as a transparent image and placed the same way, so you can switch between them before downloading.
Limits and file support
This tool accepts PDFs up to 250MB and 500 pages. PDF parsing and writing run in background workers, preview rendering yields between chunks, and large file buffers are transferred rather than copied repeatedly, so long or scanned documents keep the page responsive. Progress and cancellation stay available while signing. There is no per-day quota or forced sign-up. One signature is placed per download; to sign a second page, download the signed file and drop it back in to add another. Password-protected PDFs need their password removed first.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere when I sign it?
No. The file is read and signed entirely in your browser with pdf-lib and pdf.js — it is never sent to a server, so there is nothing to delete later and no account is required.
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
This tool embeds a visible signature image into the page, not a certificate-based digital signature such as Adobe Acrobat’s Digital ID or a PDF/CAdES signature with an audit trail. Whether it is legally effective depends on the applicable law, the parties’ agreement, and the document’s purpose. Use a dedicated e-signature service when a certified or auditable signature is required.
Can I move or resize the signature after drawing it?
Yes. Drag the dashed box on the page preview to reposition it, or click it once and use the arrow keys to nudge it in small steps. The Small, Medium, and Large options resize it while keeping its proportions.
What is the largest PDF I can sign?
Up to 250MB and 500 pages. PDF parsing and signing run in background workers, and page previews use a bounded resolution, but very large scanned PDFs can still take longer on older phones or laptops. You can cancel signing without changing the original file.
Can I sign more than one page in the same file?
Each download places one signature on the page you chose. To add a second signature elsewhere, download the signed PDF and drop that file back into the tool to place another one.
