Add Watermark to Images

Stamp text or your logo on one image or a batch — privately, with a repeat pattern when a corner mark is not enough.

Drop photos here, click to choose, or paste

JPG, PNG, WebP and other images your browser can read · any number of files

Photos and logos stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use

  1. Drop up to 20 photos onto the box, click to choose files, or paste an image with Ctrl/⌘ + V.
  2. Type a text watermark, or choose a logo image with a transparent background.
  3. Choose one position or a repeat pattern, then set the size, opacity and angle.
  4. Follow the visible batch progress, then download one result or the complete ZIP. You can cancel and resume long work.

Use a repeat pattern for proofs and sensitive copies

A small mark in one corner is easy to crop. For client proofs, product listings that are often copied, or an ID copy being sent for a specific purpose, choose “Repeat pattern” and use a 30–45° angle. The tool starts the pattern beyond each edge, so it covers the entire frame rather than leaving a bare border. Keep the opacity around 30–50% if the recipient still needs to read the image.

Choose the right output format

PNG is lossless and preserves transparent pixels, which is useful for graphics and screenshots. JPG has no transparency and is usually the smaller choice for photographs. WebP also supports transparency and is commonly smaller than PNG for web images. This tool encodes JPG and WebP at 92% quality; selecting “Same as original” keeps JPG, PNG, or WebP when the browser can encode that format. Ordinary 12 MP and 24 MP phone photos are processed at their native pixel size, one at a time, with visible progress and cancel/resume controls. Each source can be up to 30 MB, 8,000 pixels on either side, and 24 million pixels overall.

The watermark is visible, not DRM

This tool draws a visible layer into a new image file. It can discourage casual reuse, make ownership clear, and show that a copy is only for a stated purpose, but it cannot stop someone from copying the pixels or attempting removal. Keep the original full-resolution file private and export a web-sized copy when sharing work publicly.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images or logo uploaded to a server?

No. The photo, logo, preview, and downloaded result are processed in your browser with Canvas. After the page loads, the tool does not need to send your image files anywhere.

Can I add the same watermark to multiple images?

Yes. Drop up to 20 photos, set one text or logo watermark, and the same relative size, opacity, angle, and layout are applied to every readable image. Files are processed one at a time with visible progress; you can cancel and resume, then download the finished batch as one ZIP file.

What is a good opacity for a watermark?

An opacity between 30% and 50% is usually visible without hiding the photo. Use about 15–25% for a subtle portfolio logo and 50% or more for a SAMPLE or proof that must be obvious.

Will a watermark stop people from copying my photo?

No visible watermark is DRM and a determined person can crop or try to remove it. A repeated pattern across the subject is harder to crop cleanly than a single corner mark and makes the source or intended use visible on shared copies.

What limits apply to images?

Each source image can be up to 30 MB, 8,000 pixels on either side, and 24 million pixels overall, including ordinary 12 MP and 24 MP phone photos; a batch can contain up to 20 images. Images are processed one at a time to bound full-resolution canvas memory. Animated GIF and WebP files are not accepted because a Canvas export would turn them into a still image.

Does watermarking keep the original photo metadata?

No. The downloaded image is newly encoded by the browser, so camera metadata such as EXIF location and camera model is not copied into the watermarked file. Your original file is not changed.
