Random Number Generator

Generate up to 10,000 secure random integers, with optional no-repeat draws, sorting, and one-click copy.

  • Fewer clicks, keyboard friendly

Choose a range and generate up to 10,000 whole numbers. Every draw uses your browser’s Web Crypto source.

How to use

  1. Enter the lowest and highest whole numbers that can be drawn; both endpoints are included.
  2. Set how many numbers to generate, from 1 to 10,000.
  3. Turn on “No repeats” when every number in the batch must be different.
  4. Choose draw order, ascending order, or descending order.
  5. Select “Generate numbers” or press G, then copy the newline-separated result if needed.

Inclusive ranges and no-repeat draws

The minimum and maximum are both possible results. A range of 1–6 therefore has six values, just like a die. With “No repeats” off, every draw is independent, so duplicate numbers are expected and correct. With it on, this tool samples without replacement: each value appears at most once in that batch. It prevents an impossible request instead of silently repeating a number; for example, a 1–10 range can supply at most 10 different results.

Why this generator uses Web Crypto

This tool reads 32-bit values from the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues() API rather than Math.random(). MDN describes getRandomValues() as providing cryptographically strong random values. The generator also rejects the small remainder that would otherwise make some results fractionally more likely when a range does not divide evenly into 2³² possible source values. Results are generated only in this browser and are not a record of a regulated or independently auditable draw.

Bulk lists without a giant range in memory

You can generate up to 10,000 integers at once, including negative values, within a supported inclusive range from −1,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000. For no-repeat batches, the generator uses a partial shuffle that stores only the values selected so far rather than building an array for the entire range. Choose ascending order for a tidy list, or draw order when the sequence itself matters.

Frequently asked questions

How do I generate a random number between two values?

Enter the lower value in Minimum and the upper value in Maximum, then select Generate numbers. Both values are included: a 1–100 draw can return 1 or 100, and the tool also accepts negative integers down to −1,000,000,000.

How can I generate random numbers with no repeats?

Turn on No repeats before generating. The tool draws without replacement, so every value in that one batch is different; a request for 6 numbers from 1–45 can return six distinct values, but a request for 11 distinct values from 1–10 is rejected because only 10 exist.

Are the numbers generated by this tool secure?

The tool uses the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues() API, which MDN describes as cryptographically strong, instead of Math.random(). It is suitable for generating random integers in the stated range, but a local browser result is not a certified, recorded, or independently auditable drawing.

Can I create a large list of random numbers?

Yes. One generation can contain from 1 to 10,000 whole numbers. Copy returns one number per line, which pastes directly into a spreadsheet column, and ascending or descending order can be selected before generating.

Does this random number generator send my results to a server?

No. The browser generates the values locally with Web Crypto, and the settings are saved only in this browser so your range and options can be restored after a refresh. Neither settings nor generated numbers are sent to a server.
